Monday Night Raw April 8, 2013 - Review (Post WM)

John Cena vows to defend his WWE Champion on Raw
Great segment to kick off the show with The New WWE Champion John Cena. 90% of people in the crowd were booing him. He teased fans with a heel turn, He then announced that He will defend his WWE Championship tonight on Raw. He named few opponents like Ziggler, Punk etc but Mark Henry came out to the ring and Sexual Chocolate chant starts. Henry said He wants to fight Cena for the title, and Here comes the SD GM who can for some reason book matches on Raw. He said the match can't happen for the title because Rock is still the #1 contender for Cena's title. Booker T told Henry that If He can beat Cena tonight then He will get a WWE Title shot. I thought It was a great start to Raw, Cena didn't celebrate that much for his title win and cut a fine promo.

Decent match between Daniel Bryan and Big E Langston. Bryan was on a roll until Ziggler and AJ Lee Interfered thus far causing distraction which lead for Big E Langston to do his move. Looks like Big E Langston is getting a push.

Awesome match between Wade Barrett and The Miz. The crowd was totally into It, they were cheering for Barrett. This match was much better than their match in the WM pre-show which was about 5 minutes. They gave more time and both were great. I was really surprised that Wade Barrett won the IC Champion back just after losing It at WrestleMania. However, I think they made him win since WWE will be touring UK in 2 weeks.

Dolph Ziggler successfully cashes his MITB briefcase
Nice match between Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger w/Zeb Colter. Zeb Colter does get heat from the crowd for what He says but I'm tired of the same promos every week. Now that Swagger vs Del Rio storyline is over, I'm looking forward to what's next for these two. Del Rio won the match which didn't got not much of a reaction from the crowd. Dolph Ziggler cashed in his Money In The Bank and won and that crowd went total nuts, Don't remember the last time that a Heel got that much of a ovation for cashing in his MITB briefcase. Zigger should be happy he cashed in at Raw in front of a better crowd than WM was. Finally Ziggler is the World Heavyweight Champion and now fans won't have to chant "We Want Ziggler" during World Title matches.

Great segment featuring The Undertaker, The Shield and Team Hell No. Undertaker said his win at WM was dedicated to Paul Bearer and Here comes Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. I really thought Shield was going to attack Taker, I even called that just before Raw started. But I was surprised to see Kane and Daniel Bryan made the save. I don't know what is next but I would love to see Team Hell No and Undertaker vs The Shield at Extreme Rules.

Throw-away six man tag team match with Zack Ryder, R Truth and Santino Marella facing 3MB. As I said couple of weeks ago, If you need anyone to job for a six man tag team match 3MB are ready baby. If anything that came out of this match then It was Zack Ryder finally winning a match. Yes, I'm serious bro.

Good match between Sheamus and Randy Orton. I don't think anyone in the crowd actually gave a crap about this match, That is why they were chanting random things which was awesome. Even the announcers were Ignoring the match, they were listening to what chant will be next. They even started a "Thank You Big Show" chant because He Interrupted the match and That will probably be the only time you'll ever hear Thank you, Big Show. Big Show knocked both out.

Here is the list of chants that the crowd chanted: Mike Chioda, Ole, RVD, Big Show, JBL, Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole, Justin Roberts, CM Punk, Y2J, Austin, XPac, ECW, Randy Savage, HBK, Thank You Big Show, We Are Awesome, One More Chair, Holy Sh*t.
DADADADADADADADADADADADADA

Decent match between Kofi Kingston and Fandango. Kofi got no reaction from the crowd which is sad because WWE hasn't done anything with him lately. He deserves much more than being a jobber. Best part was when Chris Jericho Interfered and attacked Fandango which means the feud hasn't finished yet. If they do the match again, Y2J should win this time but After last night, Fandango was made a star by the crowd. So don't think about It.

Another decent match between Tons of Funk and Funkadactlys vs Rhodes Scholars and The Bella Twins. They got cut from WrestleMania, and they barely got 5 minutes on Raw. It was funny that the people that were complaining about this match not taking place at WM were the same people that didn't even give a crap about the match last night.

The John Cena vs Mark Henry match should've gotten more time than It got. Cena won by count-out and the loss protects Henry since He lost by count-out. I didn't even notice that Ryback wasn't on the show through out the entire night else I would have known that Feed Me More Guy will Interfere. As soon as He knocked Henry out, I know He will do the same to Cena. You would be lying If you say Ryback turned Heel last night because by the crowd reaction that was the biggest face turn ever. But It won't last that much long since I know Ryback will be getting booed probably Next week or so because we can't have the same crowd every week.

Overall, Raw was amazing last night. This was probably the first or second Raw this year that was entertaining and didn't felt like It dragged. Special thanks to the crowd that were alive through out the whole night and they were part of the reason why Raw was great. This show had no Brock Lesnar, Triple H or The former WWE Champion The Rock. Even CM Punk wasn't there who I heard missed Raw for the first time since 2011. I'm looking forward to what's going to happen next.

WWE WrestleMania 29 - Review, Coverage, and more!

WrestleMania is now officially in the history books, and there are some people that didn't like It and then there are some who actually enjoyed. We saw two new champions crowned, One was The Miz who won the Intercontinental Champion in the pre-show and the other was John Cena who won the WWE Champion in the main event. 8 Superstars couldn't have their WrestleMania match due to less time I believe. I thought WrestleMania 29 was great. Let's look at all the matches and discuss.

The Miz celebrates after winning the Intercontinental Champion
The Miz vs Wade Barrett was a short match which surprised me because I expected to be longer. The pre-show was one hour long and the only match they had in the pre-show was this match, so I thought It would be a bit long but It was about 5 minutes. The end came when Miz applied the Figure-four lock and Barrett tapped out. I wasn't surprised that Miz won because I predicted him to win anyways.

The Shield vs Orton/Sheamus/Show was an enjoyable match. Best thing WWE did was to have The Shield win and continue their winning streak. The worst thing about It was a Big Show 99194959395th heel turn. I mean, come on now we all know turning Big Show is like a monthly tradition but He just turned well kinda face like 2 weeks ago and then 2 weeks later when Fans are expecting Randy Orton to turn heel and all, WWE turns Big Show face. It was a great match, Loved the RKO from Orton to Seth Rollins. I don't think WWE will ever turn Randy Orton heel.

Ryback shell shocked Mark Henry

Ryback vs Mark  Henry - Out of every match, This was the only match that I predicted wrong. They had Mark Henry win against Ryback but after the match Ryback shell shocked Henry. In case you don't know, This is Ryback's 6th or 7th PPV that He has lost, Last pay-per view that He won was MITB 2012. I thought the whole point of this match was for Ryback to have his WM moment by giving Henry a shell shock which He did but in a winning case. I know, Ryback will probably get revenge in the next ppv but Fact is Ryback lost at WrestleMania.

Team Hell No vs Big E and Dolph Ziggler was a decent match. Big E's debut was also Impressive. The Ziggler/AJ kiss spot before the match was very well done, and Daniel Bryan almost went for the pin but Ziggler kicked out so that was a good touch. In the end, Kane gave Ziggler a chokeslam and a flying headbutt from Bryan that ended the match and Still your Tag Team Champions!

Fandango vs Chris Jericho - Entertaining match. Of course, I wasn't surprised that Fandango won because It was obvious that Jericho will put him over. Wonder if WWE will make something of this Fandango gimmick or make him another Lord Tensai. The match was decent, I wanted Jericho to win but I already knew He wasn't gonna win.

Alberto Del Rio defeats Jack Swagger

Alberto Del Rio (c) vs Jack Swagger - If you noticed the fans weren't that hot for some matches in the first 30 minutes but the crowd were totally dead for this match. Jack Swagger got a   jobber entrance at WrestleMania and does WWE want fans to think a guy that got a jobber entrance at WM is going to win the World Heavyweight Champion? Try again. Fans were chanting 'We Want Ziggler" almost through out the whole match which tells you a lot. I'm telling you this is going to continue until Ziggler doesn't cash-in. For last 5+ months, When there is a World Hvt. Champion match, The fans are mostly looking forward to what will happen AFTER the match not what's happening in the match. Both used numerous
submission , Which leads me to believe that at Extreme Rules they'll have a rematch Submission vs Submission match.

21-0

The Undertaker vs CM Punk was the best match of the night. The crowd was totally into It. CM Punk was played out to the ring by Living Colour was very cool to see, It was actually nice. Both hit their best finishers and both countered. I really wanted to see the announce table break when Punk hit a elbow drop, but It didn't. CM Punk kicking out of the tombstone and the crowd went crazy, No matter How predictable you find It, Whenever Undertaker fights at 'Mania every pinfall gets me on the edge of my seat. The Undertaker won the match at end but make no mistake about It, the match was awesome. The match was predictable? Kind of but CM Punk was looked as a threat in the match so regardless, It was one awesome match.

Triple H wins

Triple H vs Brock Lesnar - HHH started this match strong but Lesnar dominated him through out the entire match. Shawn Michaels was ringside Who gave Paul Heyman a sweet chin music, but also took a F5 from the beast. The crowd wasn't really Into the match, so I think they should've had the Taker vs Punk match second last. Triple H using Lesnar's submission was very well done because that's How Lesnar beat him last year at SummerSlam, but a pedigree on the steel steps was needed for the win. Triple H won and he got his win back. Yay.

The Rock and Cena hugs after their match

The Rock (c) vs John Cena - Another rematch on the card beside Lesnar vs HHH. They aired the video package for this match like 3 times through out the show but they did not show It right before the match, How classic is that. The crowd were kind of dead for this match early on, I think they chanted 'boring' and that's not good for a Main Event of WrestleMania. Even though using finishers every 2 minutes made their finishers look weak, That's what got the fans excited. The best part about the match that I found was when Cena was trying to do the peoples elbow just like He did last year and He didn't do It and was smiling, Yeah people that's a heel move. I thought their match last night was better than their match last year. John Cena won the match with an AA to The Rock and they had a handshake after the match and a hug on the ramp. "The Champ is here" - John Cena.. as we go off the air.

WrestleMania 29 was a great PPV, well at least I found It. If you're going to compare It to WM28 then It's not better. WM28 had hype, good build-up and etc. This year's WrestleMania had bad build up for most of the matches, and the matches in general weren't even better than last years. My predictions were almost all right except for Mark Henry vs Ryback match.

WWE WrestleMania 29 Predictions

WrestleMania 29 is this Sunday and the final card is booked. Many fans might not be happy with the card but I think It's good. Nothing special but It's not worst. With just few days to go, I will give you my predictions, You can comment below about your predictions. So Here we go...

Pre-Show

Intercontinental Title: Wade Barrett. vs The Miz

This feud started like 2-3 weeks ago when there was a Triple Threat match between Miz, Y2J, And Barrett for the Intercontinental Title on Raw. Wade Barrett won that match by pinning The Miz. Few weeks or a week later, Miz defeats Barrett and that's what leads us to this match between the two.

I still don't understand why this match is on the pre-show and Brodus Clay and Lord Tensai's match is on the main card. Wade Barrett won the Intercontinental title on a episode of Raw in 2012, I think It was second or last Raw before 2012 ends. Miz has feuded with Cesaro and He has been doing random Miz TV Segments with random superstars and then you don't know who is he in a feud with. I'm expecting Miz to win the title this Sunday.

Prediction: The Miz to win and New Intercontinental Champion.

Tonks of Funk and Funkadactlys vs. Rhodes Scholars & The Bella Twins

I feel bad for Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow. I remember a year ago, Cody Rhodes faced Big Show for the Intercontinental Champion. Now I'm not saying Facing Big Show is good and losing is good at WM But at least that was a Title match, unlike this year where He has to face some jokes. This will be Damien Sandow's first WM and boy wouldn't He want to forget It.

Prediction: Brodus Clay and Lord Tensai w/ Funkadactlys for the win.

                          Fandango vs Chris Jericho

Few weeks ago, News broke out that We will see Fandango vs Chris Jericho at WrestleMania and almost 90% of the fans weren't happy with It because I mean Fandango is someone that has barely had a televised match and Chris Jericho deserves better than that.

But I'm gonna be honest, 2-3 weeks later I actually got in the feud because of the great build-up. I'm not lying when I say this match has had a better build up than The Rock vs John Cena. Fans have been chanting You can't wrestle to Fandango for some reason and then He does a leg drop and then next minute they're all silent. Faaaandaaangoo has been getting the upper hand on Jericho for last 2 weeks, so I wonder If Jericho is winning at WrestleMania. But since Vince McMahon is really a big fan of Fandango then I don't expect him to lose. Y2J will put him over.

Prediction: Faaaaandaaangoo wins.

Tag Team Titles: Team Hell No vs Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston w/AJ

This has been a pretty good storyline even though It's been rushed. I don't know whether Its a good thing that Dolph Ziggler is in this match or a bad thing. because Him being in this match gives more chances of him actually cashing in later, but It would be such a disappointment If He lost this match and doesn't cash-in.

We know Both Kane and Daniel Bryan aren't doing their "comedy" gimmick leading up to this match, Both has been on the same page. The question is will Kane and Daniel Bryan split? They both have been tag champs since Night of Champions and they have had a wonderful reign. After Elimination Chamber, I expected them to face off against each other but It didn't happen. I don't expect Ziggler and Big E to win the tag titles because I don't see WWE having Ziggler as Tag Champ and World Hvt. Champion.

Prediction: Team Hell No retains the Tag Team Champions.

                                      Mark Henry vs Ryback

I have a bad feeling about this match because It can turn out to be the worst or just good. I don't even expect this match to be more than 5-6 minutes because I don't see It. It will probably end in a couple of minutes because the whole purpose of this match is to give Ryback his win. If you don't remember, Let me remind you Ryback has lost his last 5+ PPV matches, So He has been looked weak after losing to CM Punk for WWE Champion couple of times. Ryback will shellshock Mark Henry and this will be a WrestleMania moment for Ryback.

Prediction: Ryback

Randy Orton/Sheamus/Big Show vs The Shield

This will be a big day for The Shield, First WM for Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. These guys have been so Impressive ever since they made their debut back in November at Survivor Series.

Ever since then, They have attacked The Rock and even beat the Super Team of John Cena, Ryback and Sheamus at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. This match should be very good if given enough time. I heard that WWE planned for Big Show, Orton and Sheamus to win but they nixed that plan. I'm glad they did because It wouldnt make sense as to why they had Shield beat Team Cena at Elimination Chamber and then have them lose to a weaker team. I know many people are expecting a Randy Orton heel turn Including myself.

Prediction: The Shield

World Heavyweight Champion: Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger

This feud started back at Elimination Chamber, when WWE shocked us and had Jack Swagger to win the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match to face the World Heavyweight Champion at WM.

Back in early January, If you would have told anyone that Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger will have a match at WM29 and for World Heavyweight Champion they would've laughed. I'm expecting Alberto Del Rio to win probably by making Swagger tap out then after the match to beat him so much which lead to a Ziggler cash-in.

Prediction: Alberto Del Rio retains/ Ziggler cash-in and New Champ.

The Streak: Undertaker vs CM Punk w/Paul Heyman

One month ago, There was a Fatal 4 Way match between Big Show, Randy Orton, Sheamus and CM Punk on Raw. On that episode, Undertaker made his return to the WWE. CM Punk also won that Fatal 4 match and It's the reason why we're getting this match.

Sadly, Paul Bearer passed away the following week and this whole feud is been about that and the urn. CM Punk took the urn from Kane few weeks back when He was faced him on Raw. In this feud, CM Punk has Interrupted when Undertaker was paying tribute to Paul Bearer and has done other things to gain heat. Even what CM Punk did on Raw this past week was to gain heat but the crowd were cheering for Punk and I'm not sure If that's what WWE wants. I fully expect Undertaker to win but I hope they make CM Punk look like a threat during the match. Have him lock the anaconda Vice at some point and Have It feel like Taker is about to tap out. This match will steal the show, I hope It's given at least more than 30+ minutes.

Prediction: The Undertaker

No Holds Barred Match: Triple H w/HBK vs. Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman

Almost everyone predicted this match to happen after Triple H lost at SummerSlam last year. Paul Heyman vs Vince McMahon was booked on the 25th February Episode of Raw and that's when Triple H made his return.

That brawl between the two might have been the best thing to happen in their feud especially because of the blood. Shawn Michaels will be in Triple H's corner at WM, I don't know why they always have HBK in HHH's storylines even though this time It makes sense because if Triple H loses He will retire and Shawn Michaels has retired Ric Flair before and has been retired 3 years ago by The Undertaker. This new stipulation that If HHH loses His career will be over does make you wonder if Brock will win but I don't see HHH losing twice to him.

Prediction: Triple H

                              Main Event

WWE Champion: The Rock vs John Cena

Just like Brock Lesnar vs Triple H, This is another match that almost everyone knew would happen after WM29. Over the last 2 weeks, John Cena's promo has sound like He will be turning heel at WM29 and It has the fans wondering whether He will and that's what WWE wants. In that Q&A with the Legend, Cena cut a heelish promo. WWE realized that not many fans are Interested in this feud, So they are trying to sell a Cena heel turn to add Intrigue to the match.

If you ask me, I don't think John Cena will turn heel. It just doesn't seem like He will even though his promos are saying He will in the last 2 weeks. Fans always hopes for a Cena heel turn and they're always left disappointed. So If you don't want to be left disappointed then don't get your hopes too high for a heel turn. Again, I'm not saying I guarantee He won't turn heel but I just don't think It will happen, Especially this year.

The build up to this match has been pretty weak, Both Cena and Rock had like 2 In-ring promos in the entire Road to WrestleMania which is not good. As I mentioned, Fandango vs Jericho has had a better build up than this match especially because of Rock's absence 2 weeks straight with WrestleMania less than a month to go.

Whether you like It or not, John Cena will win this match and regain Redemption and He will probably have a hand-shake with Rock after the match with massive boos.

Prediction: John Cena and New WWE Champion!

That is all my predictions for this years WrestleMania 29, As much as It doesn't seem like Mania season this year, I'm excited for the event and It has the potential to be a great event. Hope you enjoyed my predictions!

Monday Night Raw April 1, 2013 - Review

So this is the final Raw before WrestleMania 29 and WWE have to convince the fans that aren't Interesting in buying the card this year. So they have to push the storylines between HHH/Lesnar, Taker/Punk and Rock/Cena. The question is did they succeed? Let's find out...

John Cena vows to beat The Rock this Sunday

John Cena comes out to huge boos from the crowd. WWE must take notice that It's turning from mixed reaction to 90% of boos. He cut a passionate promo about his match against The Rock at WrestleMania 29 for the WWE Championship. Cena believes Rock is the greatest WWE Champion.. (Happy April Fools Day). I know this feud has no heel but I'm tired of both keep giving so much respect to each other. You have a match at WM29 for WWE Title, build your feud not How much you two respect each other. Cena got "boring" chants from the crowd, It wasn't a good promo but I thought It was better than President Rock's promo later in the night.

Big Show, Sheamus, Randy Orton vs 3MB - Big Show knocked Jinder Mahal out to an easy win. Rule 90# of wrestling is that If you have a six-man tag team match? You got 3MB ready to job anytime. Show, Orton and Sheamus has a match against The Shield this Sunday and they build their match by having them compete against 3 jokers known as 3MB. The Shield's promo after the match was fantastic as usual. Expecting Shield to win Sunday with a Randy Orton heel turn.

Zeb Colter and Swagger cut a promo in Washington and I thought It was the same old crap they've been saying since last few weeks. This angle never got the main stream attention that WWE were ever looking for anyways. Del Rio's response after their promo was okay, It seems like crowd isn't really treating him like a babyface.

AJ Lee hands the Tag Team Champions to Big E and Ziggler
Daniel Bryan vs Dolph Ziggler was an excellent match. It looks like WWE throws one match to wrestling fans once in a while and this was that match which you know will be awesome. Another wonderful match by the two but always knew that Bryan had to lose to build the match Sunday. Ziggler pinned Bryan after He was distracted by AJ and Big E. After the match, Big E crushed Kane which was expected to make these two look strong heading into their WM match sunday. Great stuff.

Shawn Michaels returns to Raw

Shawn Michaels promo was good. You want to know why He was there? Well because his best friend HHH is competing in a retirement match and Who knows better about retirement matches than HBK who retired Ric Flair and retired himself against The Undertaker. HHH Interrupted and told him that He knows what he is doing and HBK told him that He isn't here to stop him but to tell him that He needs to kick Brock Lesnar's ass (yes ass yay). Heyman comes out along with Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman cut another awesome promo while all Brock Lesnar did was stand there doing nothing, at least He should've tried to get physical with one of them. That segment didn't do anything for me to order WM, their build up has been just as bad as some other matches on the card.

Wade Barrett vs Zack Ryder - You know something? Zack Ryder got a entrance last night and I'm not joking bro. Barrett won as expected with Miz on commentary. It's disappointing that their match at WrestleMania will be on the pre-show but Brodus Clay and Lord Tensai's match is on the card. It was funny to see Miz act like He is happy to be on the pre-show.

Santino Marella pulled a April Fools joke on Vickie Guerrero by telling her that Vince McMahon was in the house. His punishment was a match against Mark Henry. Great squash match. Ryback comes after the match with so much anger but He can't touch him because of the "No contract" crap by of course Booker T. Mark Henry's promo was the return of Sexual Chocolate. Ryback used Santino Marella to batter Henry, so technically not touching him.

CM Punk's Interview backstage was about How everyone will talk about him after WM and He said and I quote "Undertaker is more concerned with Paul Bearer's streak of waking up every morning and that streak is over".

Jack Swagger  and Zeb Colter destroys Alberto Del Rio

Zeb Colter vs Alberto Del Rio wasn't even a match basically. The match was over within one minute. I was expecting a upset victory over Del Rio with help of Swagger thus far setting doubt if Del Rio can win sunday but It was booked well because after the match Del Rio got attacked and Swagger got the upper hand.

The Rock returns to Washington

The Rock's promo seemed weak to me to be honest. Everyone were talking about How Cena's promo was boring but at least He was trying to build his match with Rock and was serious but Rock's promo wasn't that good either. His whole promo was mainly about him becoming president and about Washington. I have to say, Last week's promo between Cena and Rock did much for the build up of their match than on Raw this week. They should've had another stare down or promo together.

Fandango attacks Chris Jericho

Great match between Antonio Cesaro and Chris Jericho babay! Jericho got the win with the Walls of Jericho but Cesaro was Impressive as always. Fandango's attack after the match was very well done. The crowd are still chanting You can't wrestle to him and then He does Leg drop from the top rope and then crowd were quiet. Sad thing is the build up to this match has been way better than Rock/Cena.

Funkadactyls vs The Bella Twins was a great Divas match. Naomi has some great wrestling skills which she never gets to show cause of lack of matches. The Bellas winning surprised me but It was a great match. I still don't understand How this match is in the WM card but Barrett vs Miz isn't.

Has Punk got in Phenom's head?

Undertaker came out to cut a promo about How he feels about CM Punk and the way He has disrespected Paul Bearer and How he has made this personal. The druids came out and Paul Heyman who was dressed as Paul Bearer. As Taker gets angry, He walks there and Punk attacks him from behind and then beats him up with the urn. Say what you want, Once again CM Punk proved to be a great heel but I'm not sure if WWE were looking for a reaction like that for Punk as the crowd were chanting for Punk, Instead of boo'ing him which was why these angles were planned in the first place. WWE has build this match the right away and has got everyone talking about It. I'm still wondering if this will be the main event but we'll see in less than a week at WrestleMania.

Overall, Raw wasn't that good as we all expected to be. It's the last Raw before WrestleMania 29 and It didn't feel like that. Not saying It was 'worst' but It really wasn't better than last week's show. They did nothing to build Rock and Cena's match, Nothing much for Lesnar and HHH but the only and probably the only good thing was CM Punk and Undertaker's storyline. WM is this sunday and I'm excited nevertheless.
